The Mutual Fund Store® is the first nationally-branded, independent, Registered Investment Adviser organization in the United States. Founded in 1996, The Mutual Fund Store® system included 68 locations in 56 top markets across the U.S. through the end of 2007 with more than $4 billion in client assets under management (AUM) with 100 TMFS advisors providing advice and services to nearly 20,000 clients. TMFS has added 56 locations in 44 markets since Jan. 1, 2005, and averaged annual increases in AUM of greater than 60 percent since 2003.

Adam Bold, host of The Mutual Fund Show, a syndicated radio show appearing in more than 55 markets, and Your Investments with Adam Bold, a television show airing on public television, makes mutual fund and asset allocation recommendations to all TMFS advisors in his role as Chief Investment Officer of The Mutual Fund Research Center, the research arm for The Mutual Fund Store®.

David Byers, formerly Chief Operating Officer, Retail Tax at H&R Block, has served as the company's CEO since April 2007. The company's corporate headquarters is in Overland Park, Kansas.

The Mutual Fund Store system includes registered investment advisers which are affiliated companies and registered investment advisers which are independently owned and operated franchises. The $4 billion in AUM was for the period ended November 30, 2007 and was achieved collectively by the affiliated and franchise advisers that are part of The Mutual Fund Store system.
